Notice Board Opening Information
Doors are fitted with brass hinges and attached using counter sunk brass machine screws and can either be fitted with free opening doors or lockable with cam locks for added security. The real beauty of our systems and means of production is that you can have the combination you really want.
Single or double opening available on all panels and hung side or top up to 140cm over only side available.

Wall mounted OR post-mounted
Wall-Mounted Notice Boards Description:
Fixed directly to an existing wall (e.g., building exterior, corridor wall, office wall).
Benefits:
Space-saving: Uses existing walls, no need for extra ground space.
Cost-effective: Generally cheaper since you don’t need posts, foundations, or extra structural support.
Stable & secure: Less likely to get knocked over or damaged since it’s anchored to a solid surface.
Weather protection (outdoors): If mounted under an awning or sheltered wall, notices are better protected.
Good for high-traffic indoor areas: Hallways, entrances, or reception areas where people naturally pass by.
Post-Mounted (Freestanding) Notice Boards Description:
Supported on one or two posts fixed into the ground, typically outdoors but also possible indoors.
Benefits:
Flexible placement: Can be positioned anywhere (e.g., in parks, outside community centers, along pathways).
High visibility: People approaching from multiple directions can easily see it. Larger display options: Not restricted by wall size; boards can be bigger and double-sided.
Community identity: Acts as a standalone landmark, especially in villages, campuses, or workplaces.
Accessibility: Can be installed at optimal viewing height, including compliance with accessibility standards.
Post style
Round posts – durable, traditional, good for outdoor/heritage settings.
Square posts – easy to install, modern, professional look.
Decal posts – best when branding, aesthetics, or identity is a priority.
Toppers
Sphere Topper – A single, ball-shaped topper, with less surface for bird perching.
Ball Topper – A small, rounded top, usually on a tapered base.
Spike Topper – A pointed or tapered decorative top, it is bird-deterring with a somewhat gothic-style.
No Topper – Post ends with a flat protective plate.
Type of door opening
Double Opening – Two hinged doors (like a cabinet), opening outward from the middle. Easy to reach the whole board without stretching with a balanced and symmetrical look.
Front & Rear Opening – The board can be accessed from both sides (e.g., a freestanding double-sided board). Doubles capacity, great for outdoor walkways – people can view from both approaches.
Top Opening – Door or panel lifts upward, usually supported by gas struts or stays. Thought to be space-saving as it doesn’t need swing room to the side. When lifted, the open door acts like a small canopy against rain.
Side Opening – A single, cost effective door hinged on one side, swinging open like a standard cabinet door. Great for smaller sized boards.
Lighting options
Internally Lighted Notice Boards – 24/7 visibility – Our solar powered system has been developed by ES Solutions and is unique to our noticeboards notice boards. They are readable at night and in poor lighting (great for outdoors, corridors, or dim areas). They also have a 1.5m motion activation range that is active for 30 seconds.
Note: If lighting is selected you are limited to the ‘Stoke’ header.
Non-Lighted Notice Boards – Cheaper to purchase and install and uses zero , eco-friendly.Limited visibility in low-light or nighttime conditions.
Headboards
Various headboards to choose from:
Belvoir, Chatsworth, Rutland, Stoke, Standard & Standard (internal).
Note: You are limited to the ‘Stoke’ header if a lighted notice board is selected.

*Artwork disc printed onto vinyl mounted behind 6mm polycarbonate with polished edge inserted and bonded into laser cut aperture. Although our standard is a 15cm disc other designs and shapes can be produced.
